Custom Illustrated Wedding Card
General context
Designing a gatefold card for a wedding couple is always something special — this format allows for a big reveal, a moment of surprise that fits beautifully with such a personal celebration.
This project was an absolute joy to work on. The couple wanted a unique and magical design that reflected their shared love for fantasy, and it was an honor to bring their vision to life.
About the creative process
The front illustration was hand-drawn, inspired by a blend of fantasy and Jugendstil (Art Nouveau) elements to create a rich, enchanting feel.
The background on the inside was also illustrated by hand, while all text elements were added digitally using Adobe Illustrator. The final design was printed with care and attention to quality by PeterPrint.
1960's portrtait
This digital portrait was inspired by the photography of my great-grandfather, who captured countless striking black-and-white portraits in the 1960s.
I’ve redrawn several of his original photographs by hand to breathe new life into his work and to carry his creative legacy forward — blending past and present, analog and digital.
Op-art mandala
This mandala was fully drawn in Procreate on an iPad Pro. Built up layer by layer, it pulls the viewer inward through a dynamic use of color and optical depth. The result feels like a spinning kaleidoscope.
hypnotic, vibrant, and weirdly symmetrical.
70s Inspired Psychedelic Illustration
This piece was created in Procreate on the iPad Pro, drawing inspiration from classic 1970s illustration styles.
With its bold color blocking, symmetrical flow and retro vibe, it blends flat design with a psychedelic twist.
A modern homage to the visual language of that iconic era.
